Location: Just north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Electrical Budget: $450,000
_____
About the Project
Wanuskewin is an internationally-acclaimed historical Aboriginal
site with some 20 archaeological digs discovered to date. The
park facility is built on an area of land that served as a hunting
ground for many Indian tribes of the Northern Plains. These tribes
visited Wanuskewin on a regular basis for over 6,000 years. Wanuskewin's
goal is to operate a world-recognized Heritage Park that will
increase public awareness of First Nations people and culture.

Humboldt Electric's Work
This project featured a lot of complex lighting and sound system
work, with a fully functional ampitheatre and a movie theatre
built into the facilities. The main building was constructed with
most of the ceiling exposed, which meant all electrical conduits
had to be routed and installed correctly the first time. The project
as a whole required extensive planning and a high degree of coordination
to ensure all aspects of our work were done properly.
_____
Key Challenges
- Extensive planning and coordination to ensure
quality work
- Complex lighting and sound system installations
- Open ceiling during construction increased
