St.
Mary High School
Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Electrical Budget: $1.75 million
_____
About the Project
The newly renovated St. Mary High School is a mix of innovation
and tradition. The school serves the Catholic community in Prince
Albert, and provides an environment in which academic excellence
is stressed. A new state-of-the-art gym was added to the school,
along with ten new classrooms, an ampitheatre, a chapel, a new
library, and much more.
_____
Humboldt Electric's Work
This renovation and addition featured many state-of-the-art facilities
and systems. The school had to stay open while we worked, and
we had to integrate all the new systems into the existing power
system. This required a high level of scheduling and organization
to make sure our work was done seamlessly, with no interruption
to the school's daily operation. All existing systems were also
upgraded. We ran data and fiber optic through the entire school,
and also installed advanced lighting and sound systems in the
school's new ampitheatre.
_____
Key Challenges
- Ensuring proper installation of state-of-the-art
systems
- Scheduling work to keep the school open
and running
- Running data and fiber lines throughout
