Fort
Qu'Appelle Indian Hospital
Location: On reserve, Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan
Electrical Budget: $1.4 million
_____
About the Project
This new hospital offers both acute care and health services specific
to First Nations, such as a spiritual healing centre and healing
lodge. The hospital brings a holistic approach to healing by looking
at the emotional and spiritual aspects alongside the mental and
physical side. By locating both types of health care in one facility,
the hospital can serve the health needs of all people in the Fort
Qu'Appelle area.
_____
Humboldt Electric's Work
As with any hospital, all electrical systems have to be done right
to ensure they function properly. We handled all the electrical
work, including all call systems, security and fire alarm systems,
a back up generator, and of course all lighting and wiring. Working
on large construction projects is always a challenge, and as usual
we did extensive planning to make sure our work met all project
timelines and specifications.
