Humboldt Electric awarded design-build contract for new Acklands-Grainger distribution centre

Acklands-Grainger is building a 117,000 square foot distribution centre in Saskatoon, located in the Marquis Industrial Park. The new facility will replace the company's existing distribution centre on Quebec Avenue.

The new centre will include a 100,000 square foot warehouse, a branch showroom, and a regional support centre.

The project is design-build, which is a construction project delivery system used to minimize the project risk for an owner and to reduce the delivery schedule by overlapping the design phase and construction phase of a project.

Humboldt Electric will handle all the electrical work for the Acklands-Grainger distribution centre, with a total electrical budget of $950,000.
