New building for Persephone Theatre will expand capacity

The new building for Persephone Theatre will have room for 450 people in the Main Stage, and another 100 people in a Second Stage area. The facility is designed to allow shows on both stages simultaneously. Plans also include advanced sound and lighting technology and backstage areas allowing for multiple configurations for a variety of productions.

The new facility will serve the arts community in the Saskatoon region and will enhance the arts in Saskatoon for many years to come. The building is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2007.

Humboldt Electric will handle all the electrical and lighting work for Persephone Theatre's new building, with a budget of $1.1 million.
