''I make sure all our guys know exactly
what they're doing each day and where they're supposed to
be. The smoother we can do that, the more efficient we can
be as a company, and that gives us a serious advantage.''
Dean
began his career with Humboldt Electric in 1986 as a fourth
year apprentice and received his Journeyman's Ticket later
that same year. After working on job sites for a year Dean
moved up to the position of Project Supervisor. The next
step was into the office where Dean worked on estimating
as well as project management. He gradually shifted his
focus to estimating and in 1997 Dean became a shareholder
in the company.
As a senior estimator, Dean looks after
the more complex project estimating tasks, as well as reviewing
estimates as needed. On the project management side he helps
to organize the logistics of manpower, making sure the right
people get to the right job site at the right time. Dean
also manages the people in the service department as they
go out on maintenance calls.
